How to decode Tag-Length-Value Quickly

Basically, in TLV, the format is Tag, Length, and Value. In the list of protocols, TLV is one of the types. Transmitting the data depends on the protocol you used. However, many financial transactions still follow the TLV format. According to IBM, TLV data is three parts. The tag tells what type of data it is. The length field has a length of the value. The Value field has actual value.

Structure of TLV.TLV comprises three field values.  TagLengthValueEMV formulated different tags. They have their own meanings. Usually, the Tag and Length together takes 1 to 4 bytes.
The Best example for TLV.In the below example, you can find the sample TAG, LENGTH, and VALUE fields.

[Tag][Value Length][Value] (ex. "9F4005F000F0A001")

Tag Name = 9F40

Value Length (in bytes) = 05
Value (Hex representation of bytes. Example, "F0" – 1-byte) = F000F0A001

In the above message, tag 9F40 has some meaning designed by EMV company. Here you can find a list of EMV Tags.

7 Features of Tableau Self-service Engine

Tableau introduced the Self-Service tool. This Tool helps user queries while importing data from multiple sources. This project is called Project Maestro. This is an additional feature for the data analysis engine.

Self-Service Engine in Tableau
The visual ways of inspecting, joining and editing data. Results could then be piped into Tableau for analysis. Speedier data import and analysis. Tableau's new data engine works based on Hyper technology. You can see now faster to import and analyze large data sets with Tableau. Hundreds of thousands of records being imported per second, as well as being visualized in real-time as the import process continued. This engine developed based on feedback from the user community. It supports natural language queries. Tableau is aiming for true natural speech, not merely being able to type in questions that require using exact field names and functions. The example is you can ask questions like Tell me the cheapest houses in near California…

The best answer for 'Efficient Workbook' in Tableau

There are several factors that define an “efficient” workbook. Some of these factors are technical and some more user-focused. An efficient workbook is:

A workbook that takes advantage of the “principles of visual analysis” to effectively communicate the message of the author and the data, possibly by engaging the user in an interactive experience.A workbook that responds in a timely fashion. This can be a somewhat subjective measure, but in general we would want the workbook to provide an initial display of information and to respond to user interactions within a couple of (< 5) seconds. Tableau latest version is 9.1.2 as on writing this postTableau version 8 and Version 9 differencesIndividual Query time improved by 10xDashboard Query times improved by 9xQuery Fusion improving times by 2xAnd Query Caching improving times by 50x

2 Top Tableau Unique Features

Tableau is one of the most popular tools in data analysis. Learning the Tableau gives you so many options in data analysis career.

You can download Tableau Software free version here. Get a complete understanding document on how Tableau works here. Read this post for advancing in your Tableau Career.
Unique functionality in Tableau Tableau Software was founded on the idea that analysis and visualization should not be isolated activities but must be synergistically integrated into a visual analysis process. Visual analysis means specifically:

1). Data Exploration
Visual analysis is designed to support analytical reasoning. The goal of the visual analysis is to answer important questions using data and facts. In order to support analysis, it is not enough to only access and report on the data.

Analysis requires computational support throughout the process. Typical steps in the analysis include such operations asfiltering to focus on items of interestsorting to rank and prioritizegroupin…

The best visualization tool Tableau for Software Developers (1 of 2)

Why Tableau:
Companies that have invested millions of dollars in BI systems are using spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.

When BI system reports are received, traditional tools often employ inappropriate visualization methods. People want to make informed decisions with reliable information. They need timely reports that present the evidence to support their decisions. They want to connect with a variety of datasources, and they don't know the best ways to visualize data. Ideally, the tool used should automatically present the information using the best practices.

3 Kinds of Data

Known Data (type 1)
Encompassed in daily, weekly, and monthly reports that are used for monitoring activity, these reports provide the basic context used to inform discussion and frame questions. Type 1 reports aren't intended to answer questions. Their purpose is to provide visibility of operations.

Data YOU Know YOU need to Know (type 2)
Once patterns and outliers emerge in type 1 data the q…

What is Tableau Software

Stanford UniversityComputer Science department is the origin of Tableau. The initiation started in the Department of Defense, a sponsored research project. Chris Stolte, a Ph.D. candidate, was researching visualization techniques for exploring relational databases and data cubes.
Stolte's Ph.D. advisor, Professor Pat Hanrahan, a founding member of Pixar and chief architect for Pixar's RenderMan, was a worldwide expert in the science of computer graphics.

Chris, Pat, and a team of Stanford Ph.D.s realized that computer graphics could deliver huge gains in people's ability to understand databases.

Before Tableau Their invention VizQL™ brought together these two computer science disciplines for the first time. VizQL lets people analyze data just by building drag-and-drop pictures of what they want to see.  Tableau 8While Tableau 8 improves on the previous seven major releases of the software, the core approach to visual design remains the same: connect to the desired data sou…
